lab philosophy

1. Treat all people, animals, equipment, and others’ time with respect.

2. It is OK if your data don’t support your hypothesis… the truth is always more interesting!

3. Mistakes are a part of the scientific process! Our goal is not to simply to avoid mistakes, but to avoid making the same mistake twice. This is how we learn.

4. Give honest, critical, and constructive feedback to our lab members. When someone takes the time to help us improve, they are showing us that they care.

5. Life happens and family comes first.

6. I will always advocate for lab members to help them reach their personal and professional goals.

7. We are here to do science and succeed! Every lab member worked hard to be here, and our lab will work equally hard to help every member reach their goals.
